The family-run Graves Motorsport team has signed a 2-year partnership with British-based motorsport-themed watch brand Omologato.

The partnership is built on the foundations laid by a limited edition run of 100 Graves Motorsport watches in 2021 which saw the teams’ drivers, mechanics and key partners presented with a watch and limited-edition timepiece relating to their own racing number.  The ‘Number 1’ watch is still to be taken by the first driver in the team to win the Vertu Motors MINI CHALLENGE UK JCW Championship.

The partnership will see Omologato branding across aspects of the team platform throughout their competition in the MINI CHALLENGE UK and soon-to-be-announced additional championships.  The pair are looking forward to expanding on their collaborative project with more to follow during the partnership.

UK-based Omologato, was set up by Shami Kalra, a car and motor sport-loving graduate of the London College of Fashion, who in 2015 came up with the concept of a watch line that took styling cues from the world of motor racing.  Offering more than 45 designs inspired by everything from the world’s great circuits to cars and legendary drivers, Omologato invest in the sport it is based around sponsoring teams and drivers competing in IndyCar, NASCAR, British Superbikes, Formula Ferrari Classic, Formula E, Porsche Motorsport, British GT, East African Safari Rally and many more, now adding Graves Motorsport to the list.

Graves Motorsport is managed by brothers David & Karl. Formed in 2015, the family hobby soon turned into a business. After winning the Production BMW Championship in 2018/19 the team's focus switched to the MINI CHALLENGE UK from 2020 in which it has won championships overall and in class. In 2021 the team won the award for the 'Best Presented Team' and followed up in 2022 by winning more than 50% of the MINI CHALLENGE UK races completed, more than any other team.

Commenting on the partnership commercial director Karl Graves said, “Our Graves Motorsport watch has been a staple part of the teamwear for all our drivers, mechanics and engineers, as well as key partners of the team, widely loved by all with their own number adding their personal value to them.  It made complete sense for us to partner with Shami and Omologato and we are looking forward to working on our next project together in due course.”

Shami Kalra, founder of Omologato said “At Omologato we love motorsport and support the sport that supports us.  This is the same at Graves Motorsport, their track record of race wins and other accolades speaks volumes.  Commercially this is a fantastic opportunity for the Omologato brand to be creative whilst working together with the team on another project utilising our business.  In addition, we will increase our already strong brand awareness and presence in various motorsport paddocks in the UK whilst offering benefits to Omologato owners particularly at BTCC events throughout 2023 and 2024.”

Graves Motorsport will be competing in the Vertu Motors MINI CHALLENGE UK JCW and Trophy class kicking off the season at Brands Hatch on the 8th and 9th April.
